  • Respect Indy: The Gathering::Presents a gathering of the minds who boldly believe change begins with the people. At 1pm on Monument Circle downtown join artists like Tony Styxx, DDE and Januarie York, YedidYah Ben Sion and Ben Real, in an effort to stop the violence in our city and encourage peaceful news coverage when it comes to communal issues. 



  • Metaphorically Speaking:: MS Slams Dayton will be doing something different this month. This time around the men who bring you hot slams will be featuring a documentary on gun violence in our communities at the Dayton Cultural RTA Center. Free. 6pm-8pm. The event will then host a slam competition for all artist to speak out against violence. Contact the Human Relations Council at (937) 333-1403 for info about slam and tickets.

  • Wheeler Arts Complex  First Friday event located 1035 Sanders Street hosted by Will Manning has a full list of poetry, music, dance and art from the women of Indianapolis in honor of Poetry Month. From 7-9pm Be there!!
  • FNB:: invites y'all to get wild once again! Sweet Poison Victim returns to the Sneaky Bandit (located 5262 College Ave) for another howler of a show: Coyote Armada and Mind Parade fill out an awesome bill in benefit of Food Not Bombs - Indy Doors at 9pm $5-10 sliding scale (or 3 pairs socks) - all proceeds go to FNB (trying to raise funds for a second fridge!)
